Lac de Moisson.
Just west of Paris, near the village of Lavacourt, is the 120 hectare Lac de Moisson located. This lake is also called the "St-Cassien of Paris" because of the many heavy carp of over 20 kg. Lac de lMoisson is easy to reach from the UK by ferry either trough the Netherlands or ferry to France. Lac de Moisson used to be a gravel quarry but today it is used mainly for carp fishing and water sports. Carp fishing is permitted on the whole lake, which has 16 fishing pegs, and these are all large enough to house and accommodate 2 anglers.
All fishing pegs are clean and spacious and in the boathouse, located in the middle of the main building, there's the possibility to charge your batteries. Also located in the main building are the toilets and showers which are easy to acces but keep in mind there are a number of pegs located on the opposite side of the lake and to get there you will need to walk or if possible take a small (foldable) bike with you to Moisson so you don't need to walk all the way back to the main building and would save you a lot of time!
